Can these two live together in peace, harmony, and SAFETY????



I THINK NOT!!!!


Well, my husband and I have had my wonderful tortoise Timothy for quite some time in a huge glass tank in our living room. We've had him since a hatchling. Recently, we acquired Houdini (because of a certain attachment I formed to him due to my love of animals and my hatred of thinking about him being eaten by our friend's snake).

My husband and I had a long discussion of Houdini's living arrangements. I wanted a seperate plastic cage where you can attach tubes and little mouse things for him to play in. BUT NO!!!! "Honey, just put him in Timothy's tank - they'll be FINE." Unfortunately, I just gave in to keep him quiet.

YESTERDAY!!!!

I saw the most disturbing site I have ever seen in my life!! I am NOT over-reacting either.
I came home after work and went to feed the boys.
I put some greens in Timothy's food bowl with his calcium powder and picked him up out of the far corner of the tank so I could set him right in front of his food. As I picked him up, I noticed he was having a bathroom break, so I set him back down quickly in front of his food. I turned around to pick up Houdini's food to put in his bowl.
As I turned back towards the tank, I was horrified beyond belief to see Houdini with his head right up into Timothy's .....



Yes, that's right. He was head first in Timothy's rear end.
Me, thinking it was a mistake and thinking maybe Houdini was just interested in what was happening to Timothy - picked up Houdini and put him in front of his food bowl and poured some of his food into it.

I was wrong. He knew exactly what he was doing. He started to eat his food, so I went to get some water to pour into their water bowl. When I returned, I was astonished to see Houdini sitting there next to Timothy's butt again, and he had two handfuls of poop and was chomping down on it like it was a Filet Mignon and he was starving beyond belief. I almost ralphed, puked, vomited, regurgitated, or any other way you would like to say that.

WELL, I WON!
I AM NOW GETTING HOUDINI HIS OWN HOME AND KEEPING THE TWO OF THEM AS FAR APART AS POSSIBLE! A little too late, but beter late than never, right?

The tale of King James!!

Well my usually sweet and innocent baby, James, was on a mission last night. We had a guest spend the night last night. He must have been mad that someone took over his castle, was sleeping on his couch, in his living room, and decided that he would leave that someone a nice smelly present on my nice clean carpet.

Well, my husband got up early (which is not usual) and didn't turn on any lights so as not to wake me up. How sweet. He got dressed, walked around the living room for awhile and after I was awake, turned on our living room lights only to find a nice long brown trail of little poop circles all over my living room and into our bedroom.



Needless to say James will not be having a good day when Daddy gets home. I'm glad I won't get to see that punishment. I'm sure it wont be pretty.

But it wasn't pretty when I had to spend an hour cleaning it all up this morning either, so I have no sympathy for him.

Man I love Halloween.

The only time of the year I can be someone completely different than myself without having to worry about what other people think because HEY - it's called pretend and everyone knows it's not real.

So, I'm trying to get my costume together. This is not going as well as I would have hoped. I tried to make the dress.... my body just isn't normal. I made the dress per instructions, but it came out all wrong. Too tight around my HUGE hips, and too small around my tiny upper body. So, now I am out trying to rush and find a stupid pink dress I can just buy.

So, what is everyone else going to be for Halloween.

At work, I'm going to go in my jammies. HEHE!

I love the thought of actually being able to go to work in my PJ's and not have to get ready for work. I might actually have a good day that day!

So, I'm trying to get my Halloween outfit. I am going to be dressing up as Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. I hope this all comes together and looks good. I will post a picture to let you know how it looks, but this is the look I am trying to achieve.
