So much stuff going on right now.
I know you will probably hate me for what I'm about to say, but I'm saying it anyways. My mother brought me up on the belief that everyone is entitled to their own damn opinion.
TRASHMAN - I agree fully with everything you said. I've been saying it since this whole Katrina thing started. I understand that a lot of people in New Orleans are hurt, dying, starving, cold, sick, bleeding, or otherwise miserable. I also understand how much pain and suffering is going on because of this tragedy, but I also understand that if the news told me that an earthquake was going to be devastating to southern california and it was going to hit in 2 days exactly I would get the F*CK out of Southern CA. Even if they weren't sure where in southern california it would hit.
People have told me that New Orleans wasn't sure it was going to hit their area. Look, I watched the news, I saw the huge BIG ASS storm and if I was there, TRUST ME....I wouldn't be there after seeing that thing. I would take a quick trip upstate, WALK IF NEED BE, and come back after a few days. It would sure beat the hell out of swimming in FECES. But maybe that's just my take. And I also know that no matter how much I wanted to save my house or belongings, I know that the storm would win. I'm only 110 for godsake. What is my little body going to do to stop that thing. NOTHING, THAT'S WHAT!
And that folks, is why I live in S. CA. I would take an earthquake over a TORNADO, HURRICANE, TYPHONE, or any other natural disaster that hits the other states in this country. I sleep through earthquakes. I wouldn't be able to handle anything else.
I still pray for everyone out there, and hope that they can all get through this. Don't think I'm mean or nasty, but I just had to say what I thought. It would have been a whole lot easier had they just gotten out, but since they didn't and are now in all that SHIT, god be with them and help them out.
